Essex Wellbeing Service

Essex County Council has just launched a new and enhanced five-year offer to support unpaid adult carers.

Through collaborative working between EWS, Carers First, Action for Family Carers, Essex Carers Support and Adult Social Care, the newly commissioned service aims to help identify, reach and support more carers.

The service now offers a central contact point for carers run by the Essex Wellbeing Service.

Carers UK

Looking after someone can be tough, but you’re not on your own. Carers UK is there to listen, to give you expert information and advice that’s tailored to your situation, to champion your rights and support you in finding new ways to manage at home, at work, or wherever you are.

Action for Carers

Action for Family Carers is an Essex charity which, for 30 years, has been providing information and support for Carers who have unpaid caring responsibilities for others.

They provide information, advice, befriending, employment, counselling, activity groups and respite day care across the county. They also work with Young Carers and professionals in schools.
