If your GP or Social Prescriber feels that being more active could help your physical or mental wellbeing, a referral from them will give you access to our facilities at a reduced cost, and expert help from our team. You’ll get a personalised programme and regular support.
Active Health is a refreshed referral service which seeks to improve the health and wellbeing of our residents who have a physical or mental health condition, whilst also placing the importance of helping our residents who are experiencing long term effects of COVID-19. It provides individuals with the huge benefits associated with activity as well as giving them the required support from a structured intervention to encourage a long-term lifestyle change.
Leading our Active Health programme are fully trained staff qualified to Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral. We also have some staff who are Level 4 trained in Cancer Rehabilitation, Cardiac Phase IV Rehabilitation, Obesity & Diabetes and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, as well as a qualified physiotherapist.
